You bought it………now its yours. With nothing in writing you got what you paid for and he doesn’t have to do any work. Take it as a lesson, if someone sells you something and you pay for it before the work you want is done, don’t expect them to fix it. Get it in writing next time.

It has to be in writing…. or you’re out of luck. He knows this, that’s why he’s treating you like a vagrant.

You could try suing but unless he admits in court that there was an oral agreement, you’re out of luck.

You made two huge mistakes….. bought a salvaged vehicle and didn’t get anything in writing. Live and learn….

unfortunately for you buying a salvage car is a gamble ,sometimes you get one that has been repaired right,but in your case i think you got the one that hasn’t been repaired right,anytime you buy a salvaged car its as is,that’s why you need to take one and have it checked out real good ,before any payment is made on it,you can get in contact with a a good lawyer,and also report him to the BB bureau,but as far as getting your money back or getting him to fix the car,you may be stuck with it,this is one of the risk involved in buying one like that ,he may change his mind and help you with it,but if he don’t truthfully your stuck with it,since you knew it was salvaged to start with ,if he had lied about then he would have to take it back, sorry you had to find this out the hard way ,when i answer questions on salvaged cars i usually try to warn people of the dangers,but they don’t always listen to my opinion on them,id try talking to him one more time,good luck with it,hope this helps.

you can learn a good lesson here. never pay in full before job is done. never deal with small used car dealers. you get screwed every time.

Do you have witnesses to the agreement?
If not, I would say you have a very hard case. Better have OJ’s lawyers come to your defence. Or call your local news agency that does consumer fraud investigations.

if its not in writing that he would fix the car then you are out of luck.most older cars and all salvage cars are usually sold as is.
